Ryan B. Clay


Ryan graduated from the University of Idaho College of Law in 2022. During law school, Ryan was the president of the Intellectual Property Law Section and was on the Dean’s list for multiple successive semesters. Ryan also had the opportunity to extern at the J.R. Simplot Company. During his externship, Ryan worked on complex global patent and trademark issues, advised multiple levels of business leadership on the viability of patents and trademarks, and successfully positioned the company to receive a patent and avoid costly patent prosecution fees.

Prior to law school, Ryan studied microbiology and pre-dental studies at Weber State University in Ogden, Utah. During undergrad, Ryan led a research team to analyze microbialite carbonate precipitation in the Great Salt Lake and presented the findings at the  Rocky Mountain Geobiology Symposium in Golden, Colorado. After passing the Dental Admission Test, Ryan found his love for law and prepared for a transition to law school instead of dental school.

Ryan utilizes his experiences navigating large capital project expense arrangements and meeting the demands of clients to his advantage while ensuring that all needs are met.

In his spare time, Ryan enjoys getting outdoors to explore with a camera in his hand, enjoying winter sports, and camping with his family.
