DE Wins Trial In Alaska! Yep. Alaska.

Congratulations to Keely Duke, Christina Hesse, and the entire trial team on a hard fought defense verdict following a two week medical malpractice trial in Juneau, Alaska. The case involved the defense of a bariatric surgeon facing claims arising from alleged thiamine deficiency, Wernicke’s Encephalopathy, and post Roux en Y surgery stricture. After less than two hours of deliberation, the jury returned a unanimous verdict finding the surgeon was not negligent—a strong result reflecting careful preparation, effective advocacy and presentation of complex medical issues, and outstanding teamwork throughout trial. Well done on an excellent outcome!
