2026 Trial Win #3: Salt Lake City, Utah

Molly Mitchell and Duke Evett represented a window-and-door company that installed a custom sliding-door panel system in a customer’s home in Utah. After the door system was installed, the customer refused to pay for it. The customer claimed he expected the door system to be taller, despite it matching the specifications in the agreement he signed. The customer filed a counterclaim alleging the door did not meet his expectations. We filed suit in Utah state court, and the case proceeded to a bench trial. Although the court allowed a minor offset for certain work that had allegedly not been completed, our client was awarded the majority of the funds it was seeking.
