Chesney M. Arend

Attorney

Chesney is a civil litigation associate who specializes in professional liability and insurance defense, and business and commercial litigation.

Chesney graduated from the University of South Dakota Knudson School of Law in 2022. During law school, Chesney was a member of the South Dakota Law Review and served as a Copy Editor for Volume 67. She received the Dean’s Certificate for Outstanding Performance for obtaining the highest scores in her Constitutional Law and Legislation courses and was on the Dean’s List. She was also the Class of 2022’s Vice President, the student representative on the law school admissions committee, a Graduate Assistant in the Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities, and a law school student ambassador.

Prior to joining Duke Evett, Chesney clerked for South Dakota’s Sixth Judicial Circuit Court in Pierre, SD. She is proud to note she clerked for the first and only South Dakota bench comprised entirely of women.
Chesney joined Duke Evett in the Fall of 2023 after she relocated to Boise with her fiancé. She enjoys mountain biking, skiing, running, reading, and experiencing all Boise has to offer.
