Erin L. Poppenga

Associate

Erin Poppenga is a civil litigation associate at Duke Evett, focusing on employment matters, insurance defense, and professional liability. Erin is licensed in Idaho and Oregon.

Erin graduated from the University of Idaho College of Law in 2025. While in law school, Erin founded and served as president of the University’s Animal Legal Defense Fund Student Chapter, established and led the school’s first Animal Law course, and devoted significant time to pro bono work with animal law organizations in the United States and the United Kingdom. Following law school, Erin practiced civil litigation in Oregon, handling matters including insurance defense, personal injury, and eminent domain, before returning to her hometown of Boise to join the Duke Evett team.
